Chapter 8

Viviana stretched in the gentle embrace of the sunlight, slowly opening her eyes she saw the early morning light of San Antonio streaming through the windows.

It took a few disconcerting moments for her to remember where she was. And as she drew in a breath and wrapped her arms around her pillow, she felt the unfamiliar aches and twinges that made it perfectly clear that the night before wasn’t a dream.

It was all so very real.

And she had let herself go. Let herself feel. Let herself play at being a woman, exploring her sexuality that she’d never felt the freedom to express.

How was she going to look Ethan in the eye ever again?

She felt a gentle touch brush across her lower back. Another across the same path, ending curled around her hip.

Again, following the same sensual curl until she felt the palm of his hand cup her backside and give her a gentle squeeze.

Her breath was the only sound in the room and in that near silence, his thumb rubbed over her tailbone and started down.

“Hey,” she reached back a hand and grabbed his, “don’t you dare!” Sure, she talked a big game, but having his hand on her, touching her, had her aching in a different way.

She almost wished that she hadn’t stopped his hand, let him slide his fingers between her legs-

“I can’t help myself.”

Ethan’s voice melted over her and his hand pulled gently from her grasp and slipped over the curve of her bare butt.

“Do you always kick off your covers?”

She laughed and felt him cup his hand against her hip.

“Yeah, pretty much.” She turned her head and looked at him, dazzled by the light in his eyes. “Is that a deal breaker?”

“Never.” His fingers pressed into her naked skin. “Do you ever get cold?”

“Sometimes.” She shrugged and felt his hand begin to stroke her hip in a hypnotic rhythm. “Then I just reach down and pull up the blanket.”

Emboldened by his hand and the look in his eyes, she reached over and moved her hand down his chest.

“Now,” she sighed when she felt the ticklish brush of the silvered hair against her skin, “where is that blanket?”
